I never used to watch T.V programs like singing competitions, reality shows. Reason might be because I don’t get a chance to watch. But fortunately I did not missed the voice of this girl- Madhu Priya, who got very good reputation by her extraordinary performance in MAA T.V super-singer program. Being come from a poor family and being not allowed to go for school, with her desperation for studies she wrote a song – “Adapillanammaa Nenu Adapillanani …”. I was simply shocked by the standards in her lyrics, which are far better than so many so called lyricists of our Telugu Cinema Songs. Her song was kept in Youtube too and got hundreds of hits. There is no doubt in that, by seeing Madhu Priya real talent hunting will be done by other channels and that brings so many “stars” into light. Whatever may be the reason, T.V channels are doing right thing by conducting this kind of programs. I think only because of these programs we got a chance to listen so many “Janapadha Songs” which we might miss in our whole lifetime, not only Janapadhaas, Karnatak Music, Annamayya Keerthanas and Kuchipudi Dance and so many our traditional arts as well. By watching these programs even if few parents inspired to send their children to traditional music schools, these arts can extend their life. Anyway, we should wish our Madhu Priya, All The Best in her career and life.
